The Star S Ranch has over 14 miles of creek bottoms with cliffs around every turn in the creek. Some as high as 60 feet others only 15 to 20 feet, but all of them add to the amazing scenery of the ranch. These cliffs also make excellent habitat for our Alpine and Nubian Ibex as well as Markhor.  The cliffs are often orange or red from minerals in the rocks. This makes for some of the most beautiful scenery in the Hill Country.
