We founded the Star S Ranch herd with the highest quality genetics.   When looking for our foundation deer we searched for the largest framed typicals available in Texas.   The majority of our foundation genetics are Robert Williams, J and B Ranch, and Premier Ranch. We specialize in Texas Deer, but we do have a few select northern crosses in our herd.

While we started our herd with large framed typicals we have bread many exceptional non-typicals from these doe. We have bread selected non-typical sires.  We are now producing exceptional typicals and non-typicals.
