Aside from the many miles of James River running through the property the ranch has several other water features.   Over 14 miles of spring fed creek bottoms as well as 11 seasonal ponds, and tanks.   There are four springs on the ranch aside from those associated with the James River. Walnut Spring is the most impressive of these, the water flows out of the side of the Blue Mountains supplying a rich valley full of walnut, pecan, hickory and oak trees.
